Cookie Policy
This policy explains what Dottpace stores in your browser. In short: we store only what the site needs to work the way you chose, we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics don't use cookies at all.
What we store
We use your browser's local storage and session storage, small stores on your device similar to cookies, only for these things:
- Theme: whether you chose the light or dark look. If you keep your system setting, nothing is stored.
- Visit source (session storage, this tab only): the campaign tags, referring site and first page of your visit. It's cleared when you close the tab and sent only if you join the founding list or ask for the audit.
- Your audit request (this tab only): the site you typed, your email with most of it hidden, and a request id, so the report can show that your spot is saved. It's cleared when you close the tab.
- Embedded dashboard: in the dashboard on our home page, your actions there, so it remembers them while you explore. They stay in your browser and never reach a real site.
- Sign-in: once the app opens, an essential cookie or local storage entry keeps you signed in and protects your session.
This data stays on your device, except the visit source, which is sent only with your founding-list sign-up or your audit request. We don't use it to track you, and we don't share it. Because it's strictly necessary or stores a choice you made, we don't ask for consent and don't show a cookie banner.
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies and no ad pixels.
- No tracking cookies and no tracking across other sites.
- No selling or sharing of your browsing data.
Analytics without cookies
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It doesn't set cookies. We see only aggregate figures, such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types, and we don't use it to identify you.
Third parties
- Checkout: when you buy, Paddle runs the checkout as our Merchant of Record. Paddle sets its own cookies, for example to process your payment and prevent fraud. Paddle's own privacy and cookie notices apply to them.
- Fonts: our pages load the Geist font from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address to deliver the font, but doesn't set cookies for it.
- Other sites: when you follow a link to another site, such as our Slack community or a platform you connect, that site's own policies apply.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. If you clear them, you'll lose your theme choice and your place in the embedded dashboard. If you block them, signing in to the app won't work. We honor Global Privacy Control signals, though there's nothing to opt out of.
Changes and contact
